DESCRIPTION:We’re closing the street and having a party!\\n\\nJoin us for
  our annual celebration of summer and art from 5–7:30pm. We will host the
  opening of our summer exhibition Mending\, in addition we’ll have live m
 usic\, drinks\, food trucks\, and arts and crafts for everyone in the commu
 nity to enjoy.\\n\\nWe're thrilled to welcome artist\, singer\, and electro
 nic music composer Elisa Harkins (b. 1978\, Cherokee\, Muscogee) for a live
  gallery performance at 5:30pm followed by a 7pm outdoor performance. A DJ 
 set will kick off the evening and finish out the night!\\n\\nHarkins’s wo
 rk explores the body\, Indigenous music\, and language revitalization. Her 
 performances and exhibitions have been featured at major venues including C
 rystal Bridges\, The Getty\, MoMA\, and the Spoleto Festival. She is a reci
 pient of awards from Creative Capital\, the Harpo Foundation\, the Foundati
 on for Contemporary Arts\, and the Mid-America Arts Alliance. An enrolled m
 ember of the Muscogee Nation\, Harkins lives and works on the Muscogee Rese
 rvation and serves as a visiting lecturer\, advancing dialogue around Indig
 enous music and art.\\n\\nJOIN US!
