Sturtevants's Sun Valley Mountain Guides (SVMG) Guided Hiking Trips
HIKE the IDAHO ROCKIES!
Whether you’re looking for a mountain wildflower and nature tour or are anxious to bag that high alpine peak, Sun Valley Mountain Guides (SVMG) will help ensure a successful trek in our magical Northern Rockies. Our expansive forests allow a real sense of escape just a short drive from Ketchum / Sun Valley. Outings are tailored to meet the needs or ambitions of individuals, families and groups – whether for just a few hours or a full day with a special-ordered trailside lunch.
Spectacular scenery, nature, wildflowers, outdoor fitness, solitude, or some fishing and a dip in crisp alpine waters… SVMG can take you there. Our guides are intimately familiar with the myriad of pathways and adventures in our nearby forests. We’re blessed with countless trailheads that allow us to get you ‘out and back’ in time for outdoor dining, music in the streets, art-walks… everything Ketchum offers in summer!
Three distinctive sub-ranges of the Idaho Rockies frame the Wood River Valley. The Smoky Mountains are the most ‘bike & horse trail friendly’ with a vast network of natural trails and wooded glades. The Pioneers & the Boulders feature dramatic and photogenic alpine peaks, glacial cirques, lakes and wildflowers – paradise for hikers.
