The Hunger Coalition
Founded in 2003 in response to the absence of a countywide system for the provision of food assistance to local individuals and families experiencing hunger, The Hunger Coalition consists of 8 inter-related programs ensuring access to basic nutrition and offering the support and resources necessary to assist clients in the transition out of food insecurity.
The Hunger Coalition continues to meet the changing level of need and desperation across Blaine County through the dedication of more than 150 volunteers and 9 staff members. The Hunger Coalition strives to end hunger in our community by providing wholesome food to those in need and by promoting solutions to the underlying causes of hunger through collaboration, education and advocacy. We aim to empower our clients to become healthy, contributing members of our community.
